Berkeley Research Group adds two managing directors in Miami

Consulting firm Berkeley Research Group (BRG) has welcomed two new managing directors to its Miami office: Andres Chambouleyron, PhD, and Rodolfo (Rudy) Pittaluga, Jr.

The two professionals will bolster the arbitration, regulatory, contract disputes, forensic accounting, and construction practices in BRG’s Miami office – which largely serves the Latin America market.

Chambouleyron is relocating from BRG’s office in Buenos Aires. He has 26 years of experience as an economist and consultant focusing on public utilities, with expertise across economic analysis, pricing and rate setting, valuation, business advisory, regulatory design and analysis, and damage assessment.

Prior to joining BRG, he held several senior public sector roles in Argentina, including president of the board of Argentina’s Federal Electricity Regulatory Authority (2018-2020) and undersecretary for tariff policy in the Ministry of Energy and Mining.

Chambouleyron was also previously a senior consultant at Compass Lexecon and an affiliate at LECG. He holds PhD and master’s degrees in economics from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Argentina.

Pittaluga joins BRG from Alvarez & Diaz-Silveira, a boutique real estate law firm where he spent the last five years as senior counsel. He brings more than 35 years of experience in legal and consulting services, with expertise advising financial services clients on complex commercial litigation matters in the United States.

Before joining Alvarez & Diaz-Silveira, Pittaluga spent a decade at Deloitte, where he was a principal and leader of the financial advisory services practice in Florida and Puerto Rico. In the role, he oversaw teams delivering services in corporate restructuring, forensic and disputes, anti-money laundering, valuation, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Pittaluga was also previously a partner at law firm Holland & Knight and a shareholder at Ackerman Senterfitt. He holds a law degree from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami.

“Miami is a key location for us across many of the firm’s service lines, in the local market and as a hub through which to serve our clients throughout Latin America,” said Santiago Dellepiane, leader of BRG’s international arbitration practice. “Andres’ relocation gives us the opportunity to bring his deep industry expertise in energy, telecommunications, and other sectors to an even wider set of disputes and regulatory issues across the region. We also are delighted to welcome Rudy to BRG. His legal and consulting experience, coupled with his strong client relationships, put him in an ideal position to help lead the further growth of this priority operation for the firm.”

BRG is based in Emeryville, California and advises on disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and strategy and operations. The firm has more than 1,200 professionals across offices in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions.
