FTI Consulting adds managing directors to healthcare practice

FTI Consulting has appointed five US-based professionals to its health solutions practice. Bruce Hallowell will act as senior managing director, while Kathleen Fitzgerald, Lucy Lee, Michael Moran, and Pam Robertson will work as managing directors.

Hallowell carries more than 40 years in the healthcare industry, focusing on revenue cycle management, patient access, medical records, revenue strategies, and patient accounts. He joins FTI Consulting from Navigant (now Guidehouse), where he served as a managing director. He has also worked at PwC, also in a managing director position. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from the University of Tampa. In his new position, he will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

She has three decades of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in assessment development and support of healthcare regulatory compliance programs. She works with clients in matters regarding government investigations and federal enforcement. She has worked as both general counsel for the largest laboratory accrediting organization in the United States, as well as chief compliance officer for a renowned clinical laboratory. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and a law degree from William & Mary.

Lee is an expert in perioperative and procedural services, clinical resource management, process reengineering, physician engagement, and clinical and business intelligence, with more than 23 years of experience in the industry. She will be based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Moran, also based in Washington, DC, joins FTI Consulting from Inova, where he served as vice president for Inova Health System and chief operating officer (COO) for Inova Medical Group. He brings deep experience in the development of organizational cultures that place the patient front-and-center and improve employee engagement, care quality, and patient well-being.

Robertson is also a healthcare industry veteran, having served in a variety of capacities involving healthcare operations, organizational strategy, stakeholder engagement, and financial improvements. She has held positions at hospitals including CEO, COO, and chief administrative officer.
