North Highland, a global management consulting firm, is now a certified partner with Celonis, a leading process mining technology company.
Originating in the research of academics at Eindhoven University in the Netherlands, process mining applies data mining algorithms to event log data to identify trends, patterns, and details. Organizations can then use this data-driven evidence to better understand their processes and improve their efficiency.
Munich-based Celonis is a top provider of technology using this method, which aims to reduce operational friction. The firm’s cloud software discovers the causes of friction in business processes, reduces and prevents friction through the application of AI-driven actions, and then monitors improvements with process visualizations.
Celonis was founded in Germany in 2011 and quickly expanded across the globe, becoming a unicorn startup in 2018 and reaching a valuation of $2.5 billion in 2019. The company has worked with many leading organizations, including Siemens, Uber, and Airbus.North Highland will now join Celonis’ partner network of more than 100 innovators and implementers. The consulting firm will use its deep expertise across numerous verticals as well as its experienced process and business analysis professionals to help clients leverage the Celonis platform.
“We see process mining as a foundational capability for all process engineering work going forward,” said Chad Carmichael, a process consulting expert at North Highland. “By partnering with Celonis’s Intelligent Business Cloud, we can rapidly discover a client’s current state process environment, translate observations into actionable insights, to quickly focus an organization’s efforts of driving faster time-to-value for improvement initiatives – ultimately creating bottom line results.”
North Highland’s process and business analysis practice helps clients build an agile process improvement strategy, with offerings across supply chain, analytic tools and data, robotic process automation, and operational optimization.
The practice’s recent work includes supporting a global bank with a new product development process and helping a federal utility company streamline its internal processes and provide its customers with useful energy forecasting tools.
“North Highland is a trusted advisor for organizations embarking on complex transformation initiatives, and they recognize that process excellence is critical to success for any enterprise, especially now during the current crisis,” said Vince Barrett, VP of partner management in the Americas at Celonis.
North Highland recently partnered with AI firm Digital Reasoning to help healthcare providers more quickly identify cancer diagnoses and improve patient volumes through automation.
