Consulting firm Rightpoint has appointed Damien Scott as managing director of its growing New York office.
Rightpoint specializes in design, experience, and technology, and has nearly 40 employees in New York who mainly advise financial services institutions, including big players like Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs.
According to new managing director Damien Scott, the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the need for companies to adapt to a rapidly changing and digital environment. One of the key changes is taking place in the consumer landscape, with a multitude of studies showing that facets such as experience, sustainability, online shopping and purpose are emerging as changes that are here to stay.
Singling out experience as a key area of focus for Rightpoint, Scott said, “The pandemic has made experience increasingly important in industries like banking, healthcare, and more – and these enterprises need to make changes today in order to support their customers and employees now and in the future.”“Consumers are for example becoming more digitally savvy and reliant on new technology, and changing their purchasing behavior. But enterprises are lagging behind. It is time to focus on delivering products, services, and experiences that deliver on today’s reality,” he said.
This is where Rightpoint comes in. From whiteboard to roll-out, the consulting firm helps clients revamp and tailor their experience, through to the build and implementation across operations. Across its 12-office footprint, the consultancy – since 2019 part of US-listed Genpact – works with more than a quarter of Fortune 1000 companies.
Scott brings two decades of experience to his new role. Most recently, he was the managing director of experience for Genpact Digital in North America. Before that, he worked for TandemSeven, where he latterly was a vice president and prior to that head of the technology consulting practice.
Earlier in his career, Scott enjoyed a decade with analytics software company FICO, where he among others led the firm’s digital services consulting practice.
He holds his new role alongside the position of director of international growth markets. Rightpoint currently has over 700 employees working from 12 offices, four of which are outside the United States – in Australia, New Zealand, India, and the United Kingdom. Scott leads the firm’s international growth strategies, including market entry into new countries and driving the expansion of existing hubs.
