Providence Services Group (PSG), the professional services arm of Renton, WA-based healthcare system Providence, has acquired Navin, Haffty & Associates – a Westborough, MA-based consulting firm specializing in the Meditech electronic health record (EHR) system.
PSG will combine Navin Haffty with Engage IT Services, a subsidiary which also focuses on Meditech EHR consulting services. Westwood, MA-based Meditech is one of the larger software providers in the EHR market, with nearly half a million dollars in annual revenues.
Together, Navin Haffty and Engage will form the largest provider of Meditech consulting services, with more than 300 employees. Both companies have 20 years of experience focusing on Meditech, and have together served more than 500 hospital customers.
Navin Haffty’s current client list includes Avera (South Dakota), Cody Regional Health (Wyoming), and Halifax Health (Florida).
The combined firm will provide a one-stop consulting shop for Meditech, with offerings in implementation, hosting, service desk/application support, staff augmentation, and technical services.
“Engage is looking forward to the impact we can have together for the MEDITECH market. Our combined strength not only deepens our collective expertise but broadens service lines to provide maximum value for the MEDITECH community and the healthcare industry as a whole,” said Fred Galusha, CEO of Engage.
The Navin Haffty acquisition is part of PSG’s continuing strategy to become a premier independent provider of solutions and services in the healthcare industry. The company last year acquired Bluetree, a consulting firm specializing in Epic, the EHR market leader in the US.
Cascadia Capital was the exclusive financial advisor to PSG, while VRA Partners was the exclusive financial advisor to Navin Haffty. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
PSG’s parent company, Providence, is a non-profit healthcare system that operates 51 hospitals and 800 non-acute facilities across eight states.
