Absolut picks GEP procurement software

Spirits manufacturer Absolut has selected GEP Software to transform its source-to-contract process in Europe.

Stockholm-based Absolut – which produces spirits brands including Absolut Vodka, Malibu, and Kahlua – will use GEP Software to upgrade its sourcing, contract management, and supplier management across Europe.

Based in Clark, NJ, GEP’s software products include GEP Smart, an AI-powered, cloud-native source-to-pay platform that helps large organizations drive efficiency, agility, visibility, and actionable intelligence into all procurement and purchasing functions. The firm also offers GEP Nexxe, an end-to-end supply chain management platform.

GEP’s more than 5,000 professionals also provide consulting and managed services in procurement and supply chain. The firm works with large clients such as Walmart, Honda, and Chevron.

The firm also announced recent client projects with grocer Tesco and machinery manufacturer Netzsch. Tesco – the UK’s largest grocery retailer – will use GEP Smart to manage its UK and Ireland purchase-to-pay (PTP) process, including requisitioning, ordering, supplier ASN, and invoice functions for goods and services not for resale. The project follows a successful source-to-contract implementation across Tesco’s Central Europe and Asia operations in 2020.

Netzsch, a Germany-based global manufacturer of machinery and instrumentation – will utilize GEP Smart’s spend analysis software to identify cost savings opportunities for direct and indirect spend categories.
