Elaine Szeto joins consulting firm CCG as Principal Consultant

Phoenix-based Catalyst Consulting Group (GCG) has added Elaine Szeto to its ranks.

Szeto brings extensive financial services industry experience to the management consulting firm, which has been her main area of focus during her more than 25-year career. Prior to joining Catalyst Consulting Group, Szeto worked at Western Alliance Bancorporation, where she was Chief Product Officer. In the role, she oversaw and led efforts for strategic imperatives, product development and rollout, cross channel delivery and digital customer experience transformation.

Before that, Szeto served as the Director of National Treasury Management at Omaha Bank (Now CIT Group), and held several leadership roles in retail banking, project management and treasury management at PNC Bank during her seventeen years at the Pennsylvania-headquartered financial services group.

Now transitioning to the consulting side of the table, Szeto said that she is “thrilled to join CCG”, a leading consulting firm focused on clients in the banking and fintech landscape. The firm advises its client on strategy development, and then with the implementation of plans and change, leveraging its deep industry experience to provide combined with organization, analytics, and technology skills. 

“The financial services industry is experiencing an unprecedented disruptive and challenging time right now,” said Szeto, “and I look forward to work with financial institutions and fintechs to set them up for future success.” 

One of the areas she will focus on is payments, which according to Boston Consulting Group is one of the fastest growing segments within the financial services landscape. With bigtechs and fintechs increasingly eyeing the segment to fuel their growth and connect with consumers, banks are under mounting pressure to protect their market shares and keep apace with the latest developments in the field.

Szeto is a well recognized expert in the payments domain. She is a long-time member of the National Association for Financial Professionals, various leadership councils, and also served on the NACHA Payments Innovation Alliance driving positive changes in the payment industry.
