John Macaluso joins banking consultancy CCG Catalyst

CCG Catalyst, a management consulting firm focused on the financial services industry, has added John Macaluso as a principal.

Macaluso brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services technology to CCG Catalyst, where he will assume leadership of the technology strategy practice. In the role, he will work with banks and credit unions to transform their processes with digital platforms, core systems, and technology – including cutting-edge innovations in payments, cash management, and treasury services.

Macaluso previously spent over three decades at Fiserv, one of the largest global providers of financial services technology. He was previously the firm’s SVP of market strategy bank solutions and CTO of the Signature platform, which delivers real-time customization, system integration, and business process improvement to financial institutions.

He also previously served as director of information services for the New York Yankees, where he was responsible for all technology at the organization, including scouting and player development tech.

“We are excited to welcome Mac to our leadership team as we continue to invest heavily in providing the right financial technology advice for our clients to ensure their success,” said Paul Schaus, CEO of CCG Catalyst Consulting Group. “He is one of the top talents in this industry.”

Founded in 1998 and based in Phoenix, CCG Catalyst helps banks, fintechs, and credit unions improve their performance with offerings across strategy, operations, technology, and mergers and acquisitions. The firm has more than 30 professionals across eight offices in the United States and was named one the Fastest Growing Firms in the US (2018) by Consulting Magazine.

“I am excited to have joined this group of experts at CCG Catalyst from across financial services to help drive the industry forward,” said Macaluso.

The firm last year added fintech expert Scarlett Sieber as managing director and chief strategy and innovation officer.
