Mazars USA makes three senior leadership appointments

Accounting and consulting firm Mazars USA has named Jason Pourakis as leader of the accounting and advisory service line, Jonah Gruda as leader of the private client services (PCS) practice, and Carlo Martins as leader of the real estate practice.

The appointments were part of New York-headquartered Mazars’ “ongoing expansion and business strategy,” according to a release from the firm.

Gruda succeeds Lisa Osofsky as PCS practice leader, while Martins succeeds Shahab Moreh as real estate practice leader. Osofsky and Moreh will continue on as partners and members of Mazars USA’s executive board.

As leader of the accounting and advisory service line, Pourakis will oversee a national team that works with thousands of privately owned businesses, from startups to medium-sized businesses to mature multinationals.

Pourakis has been with Mazars since 2001 and became a partner in 2014. He has delivered public accounting services to a wide range of businesses over the last two decades, with a focus on manufacturing and distribution. Pourakis holds a BS in accounting from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
