PCG adds Sylvia Mitchem as director of technology consulting practice

Public Consulting Group (PCG), a public sector–focused management consultancy, has hired Sylvia Mitchem as director of its technology consulting practice.

Mitchem is a tech consultant with more than 13 years of public and private sector project management experience, including 11 years transforming health, human, and social services.

At PCG, she joins the technology consulting practice, which provides innovative and cost-effective programs to help state and local agencies deliver successful IT systems. Mitchem’s role includes business development, resource management, risk management, and project delivery engagements. She will help guide teams to transform health, human, and social services through technology.

Mitchem was previously project management office director at the Virginia Department of Health, a senior project manager at healthcare IT consultancy Cognosante, and a program manager at electronic benefits transfer processor Conduent. She holds an MS in information systems and a BS in business applications development from Virginia Commonwealth University.
