IT consultancy Speridian has acquired Business Advantage Consulting, a business and technology consulting firm based in Sacramento, California.
Business Advantage was founded in 2000 and delivers consulting services in strategy planning, business process engineering, project management, and organizational change management (OCM), as well as specialized IT services in ServiceNow implementation, business intelligence, and enterprise content management (ECM).
The firm, which has approximately 45 employees, primarily serves California public sector clients, including the state’s Health and Human Services Agency, Natural Resources Agency, and Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Business Advantage also advises private sector organizations, having worked with clients such as Apple, HP, and DXC.
“The acquisition further strengthens Speridian’s ability to offer additional expert professional services, especially in the fields of OCM, ECM, and health care privacy and compliance,” stated a release from Speridian. Business Advantage, meanwhile, will gain “Speridian’s extensive portfolio of capabilities to add to their strong portfolio of services, which expands offerings to clients looking for business transformation through innovation and services.”
Business Advantage will become a subsidiary of Speridian, and will continue to operate as a California corporation. Steve Middlekaud, VP of business development at Speridian, will become the head of the wholly owned subsidiary. Angel Cheney, co-founder of Business Advantage, will exit as part of the transaction, for which financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Speridian provides business and technology services to clients in financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, retail, and the public sector.
The firm offers services and solutions in application development and security, analytics, emerging technology, cloud infrastructure, digital marketing, ERP software, human capital management, and staffing professional services. Speridian’s technology partners include Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, and Salesforce.
The consultancy has more than 1000 employees in the Americas, Middle East, India, and Pakistan.
