Think Systems, a Baltimore-based consulting and staffing firm, has appointed three people to director within its management consulting division. Two of the directors – Rick Thomas and Virna Elly – are internal promotions, while Jose Roig is a new hire who joins the firm from Baltimore Medical Health System.
“Rick, Virna, and Jose will bring high-level experience to an already rock-solid management consulting team,” said Joe Poling, president of commercial services at Think, which focuses on clients in education, healthcare, and government. “They will execute strategies that deliver unparalleled work for our clients, expand opportunities for their colleagues, and improve overall client services.”
Rick Thomas has extensive experience in program and project management and operations consulting. He has been at Think for over five years, previously serving as an executive program manager and VP of consulting services.
Thomas previously spent nearly 10 years at iCertainty, a software company focusing on performance management, where he was latterly an operations director. Prior to entering the business world, Thomas was an F-15 Eagle fighter jet crew chief in the US Air Force.
Virna Elly has more than 20 years of leadership and consulting experience, with a focus on organizational change and building high-performance cultures.
Prior to joining Think in 2020 as a senior management consultant, Elly was a program management contractor at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and a project manager at Benelogic, a benefits administration technology firm.
Jose Roig brings broad expertise in operational leadership and process improvement, with experience leading teams in system selection, implementation, and maintenance.
He joins Think from Baltimore Medical Health System, where he spent a year as director of IT. Before that he spent 12 years at consulting firm Hartman Executive Advisors, where he was an executive IT advisor. Roig also previously was a principal at consulting firm Tatum and director of IT at Erickson Senior Living.
Founded in 2004, Think provides services in interim executive leadership, growth, project management and rescue, business process improvement, business transformation and modernization, post-merger integration, and strategic hiring and recruiting. The firm also provides specialized industry services to venture capital/private equity firms and government agencies.
