Baker Tilly acquires data analytics consultancy Talavant

Accounting and consulting firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP has acquired Talavant, a Madison, WI–based data analytics management consulting firm.

Founded in 2015, Talavant helps companies leverage data as a competitive asset, offering services across strategy, architecture, and implementation. The company helps clients assess organizational readiness, build a data roadmap, form a modernization program, develop cloud and hybrid solution architecture, and design and architect a data dashboard.

The firm has quickly grown to a team of 25 professionals across offices in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Baker Tilly’s acquisition of Talavant bolsters its ability to support market demand for data solutions. The deal will augment recently launched Baker Tilly Digital, which combines the firm’s analytics and advanced technology services under one capability suite.

Baker Tilly Digital groups together the firm’s most technical offerings, from analytics and cloud to its incubator lab for next-gen tools and services. The division’s technologists and data scientists help a wide range of clients integrate advanced technologies and transform core business services.

“Joining forces with Baker Tilly broadens our capabilities to serve the growing needs of our clients and provide exciting opportunities for our team members,” Dave DuVarney, president of Talavant, said. “Baker Tilly and Talavant share a focus on maximizing client value and providing a personalized client experience.”

Baker Tilly is headquartered in Chicago, and is a member firm of Baker Tilly International, which has more than 36,000 professionals across 146 territories.
