Accounting and consulting firm CDH has acquired Pier & Associates, a boutique public accounting firm based in Chicago.
Founded in 1991, Pier & Associates provides accounting, audit, tax, and business advisory services to individuals and small businesses in a range of industries. The firm has more than 10 employees, according to LinkedIn.
CDH’s acquisition of Pier & Associates will strengthen the firm’s Chicago presence.

CDH is based in Itasca, a Chicago suburb, and has more than 120 employees. The firm’s business consulting services include fraud and forensics, valuations, HR and recruitment, and IT consulting.
CDH was founded in 1996 and has offices in Itasca, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Albany, as well as an international office in Japan. The firm is #283 on Inside Public Accounting’s list of the top 400 US-based accounting firms, with annual revenue of $13.41 million.

CDH in 2020 expanded its IT practice with the acquisition of Albany-based ADS Business Intelligence. The deal added area expertise in Sage Intacct financial management software implementations.
