MorganFranklin Consulting announces new managing directors

Management and technology consultancy MorganFranklin Consulting has announced the appointment of five new managing directors: Michael Fitzgerald, Omar Hawa, Andre Prince, Jordan Scheiderer, and Hudson Shelby

Michael Fitzgerald leads the firm’s aerospace & defense practice, helping clients reach finance, technology, and business goals with customized solutions. Prior to joining MorganFranklin in 2018, Fitzgerald spent 10 years at Deloitte, where he was a senior manager. At Deloitte, he focused on audit and advisory services to government contractors in the aerospace and defense industry.

Omar Hawa specializes in transactional challenges in accounting, finance, and business operations. His areas of expertise include IPO readiness, audit readiness, technical accounting, and ERP implementation. Prior to joining MorganFranklin in 2014 as a manager, Hawa was a senior accountant in internal controls at BET. Before that, he was a senior auditor at Mitchell & Titus (now EY).

Andre Prince leads the firm’s private equity services practice, and has 20+ years of experience delivering transformation and technology integration initiatives. He has deep experience using Lean/Six Sigma, tech integration, strategic sourcing, and operating model redesign to optimize portfolio company operations. Before joining MorganFranklin in 2015, Prince was a VP at Rialto Capital Management and a managing director at IFG, leading efforts in M&A, performance improvement, and tech integration. He also previously worked at Grant Thornton, Deloitte, and EY.

She has extensive experience in revenue recognition, process improvement, US GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance – working with clients across technology, government contracting, banking, real estate, and legal services. Prior to joining MorganFranklin in 2015 as a director, Scheiderer was a director of process improvement & special projects at Sotera Defense Solutions and VP of revenue accounting at comScore. She was also previously controller of global sales at Deltek and a consultant at RGP.

Hudson Shelby focuses on strategy and operations improvement, and leads the firm’s Raleigh-Durham office. He has expertise in enterprise system implementations, business process improvement, finance transformation, and M&A. Prior to joining MorganFranklin’s strategy & transformation practice as a senior consultant in 2012, Shelby was a business development manager at energy firm CB&I.

MorganFranklin was acquired last summer by Vaco, a Nashville-based recruitment and consulting firm. Vaco is a portfolio company of Olympus Partners. MorganFranklin retained its branding and became the consulting platform of Vaco, which has 1,200 employees in the US, Canada, and India.
